Software-Defined Radio (SDR) Implementation for 5G Communications

5G移動通信技術是當今在通信與網路產業中最關鍵的重點發展項目。本演講將介紹以軟體定義無線電(SDR)實現數項5G的重點技術。首先我將提出一個由射頻前端儀器和具備GPU卡加速的控制主機所組成的SDR平台。接著介紹為滿足實時訊號處理要求而發展的數項GPU平行程式技術。然後我將說明三項5G應用情境的基頻訊號處理設計,亦即是超密集網路(UDN),非正交多工接取(NOMA)和蜂窩車對車通訊(C-V2V)。最後我會展示此三種SDR系統經由天線的空中傳播(OTA)時實際工作的影片。

 

5G mobile communications technology has been the next big thing for the communications and networking community. This talk will address the software-defined radio (SDR) implementation for some 5G technology. The SDR platform consisting of RF frontend instruments and host controller with GPU acceleration will be introduced first. GPU programming techniques for these solutions to reach real time requirements are delineated. Then, design of the baseband solutions for three 5G topics, namely ultra-dense network (UDN), non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), and cellular vehicle-to-vehicle (C-V2V) is described. The talk ends with videos of these SDR applications working in the Over-The-Air (OTA) scenario.
